Mahesh Babu and SS Rajamouli Team Up for a Pan-Indian Blockbuster

“SSMB29” Set to Be a Two-Part Mega Franchise with a Whopping Budget of ₹1000 Crores

Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu is gearing up for his next cinematic venture with acclaimed director SS Rajamouli, tentatively titled “SSMB29.” This highly anticipated project, following the massive success of Rajamouli’s Baahubali series, is expected to redefine Indian cinema on a global scale. According to recent reports, the film will be released in two parts, with pre-production already in full swing.

Industry insiders reveal that Mahesh Babu has dedicated his schedule to the film starting January 2025, with the script finalized after two years of development. Screenwriter Vijayendra Prasad, Rajamouli’s father, shared that the movie will introduce audiences to a completely new world and hinted that Mahesh’s character might draw inspiration from the Hindu deity Lord Hanuman. The film’s working title, Global Feature, suggests a universal appeal, and speculation is rife about international talent joining the cast.

The project is reportedly being produced on a staggering budget of ₹900-₹1000 crores, marking it as one of Indian cinema’s most ambitious ventures. To maintain secrecy, Mahesh Babu has limited his public appearances, fueling excitement among fans.

Mahesh Babu’s last release, Guntur Karam, directed by Trivikram Srinivas, was a blockbuster, and he also lent his voice to the Telugu version of Disney’s The Lion King as Mufasa. With SSMB29, the actor is poised to make his mark on the global stage, under Rajamouli’s visionary direction. Fans eagerly await further updates on this cinematic spectacle.
