T.J. Miller Open to Returning as Weasel in Deadpool Universe Despite Past Rift with Ryan Reynolds
After resolving their on-set differences, Miller hints at a possible comeback alongside Reynolds in a future Deadpool sequel

T.J. Miller, known for his role as Weasel in Deadpool and Deadpool 2, is now open to rejoining the franchise with Ryan Reynolds despite past public remarks that he would “never work with [Reynolds] again.”
Although a fourth film in the series hasn’t been officially confirmed, a sequel to Deadpool & Wolverine—which has seen substantial box office success—seems highly likely. And, if given the chance, the Silicon Valley actor would consider reprising his role as Weasel.
“We talked a little while ago,” Miller shared in a recent SiriusXM The Bonfire interview, referencing his renewed connection with Reynolds. “I think he’s been such a good friend recently, so coming back to work together would be awesome.”

Miller first portrayed Weasel, the loyal yet comical best friend to Reynolds’ character Wade Wilson, in 2016’s Deadpool and 2018’s Deadpool 2. He did not appear in Deadpool & Wolverine, which focused on the dynamic between Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.
In 2022, Miller publicly accused Reynolds of being “horrifically mean” on set during an episode of the Adam Carolla Show podcast. At the time, Miller described Reynolds as “an insecure dude” and mentioned he would have refused any offer to participate in a third Deadpool movie, regardless of payment.
Shortly afterward, however, Miller revealed on SiriusXM’s Jim Norton & Sam Roberts show that Reynolds had reached out to clear the air. “It was a misunderstanding,” Miller explained, adding that after emailing Reynolds, the two reconciled.
