Neelam Kothari, a celebrated Bollywood actress who entered the film industry at the young age of 16, rose to stardom through the 80s and early 2000s. After taking a break from acting, she made a vibrant return with the reality TV show Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, giving audiences a glimpse into her life alongside Maheep Kapoor, Bhavna Pandey, and Seema Kiran Sajdeh. In a recent interview, Neelam opened up about her experiences working with some of Bollywood’s biggest stars and reflected on her evolving career.

During a conversation with Radio Nasha, Neelam fondly remembered sharing the screen with Aamir Khan in the 1991 romantic drama Afsana Pyar Ka. She described Aamir as extremely focused and committed to his craft. “He was very particular about every scene,” she said. “He’d often insist, ‘Let’s do one more shot,’ because he was so meticulous.” Neelam also recalled how quickly they filmed the lively song Tip Tip, wrapping it up in just three days. “There was a simple joy in the way we worked back then,” she added.

The actress also reflected on her experience starring alongside Bollywood legend Rajesh Khanna in the 1989 film Ghar Ka Chiraag. She described the superstar as reserved but supportive on set. “Playing a mature character in Ghar Ka Chiraag was a challenge for me, but working with Rajesh Khanna made it easier,” she explained. “When you perform with a legend like him, your own performance naturally improves.”

Neelam’s recent journey in entertainment has extended beyond films. After finding new fame through Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, she also appeared in the Netflix series Masaba Masaba and featured in a segment of Made in Heaven. Her versatility reflects her ability to adapt to the changing entertainment landscape.
