Nicole Kidman: Hollywood’s Tireless Powerhouse
From TV dramas to blockbuster films, Kidman juggles passion, family, and mentorship, proving she’s unstoppable in the entertainment world.

Is Nicole Kidman the busiest person in Hollywood right now? Judging by her packed schedule, the answer might be yes. Over the past year, Kidman has starred in the romantic comedies A Family Affair and Babygirl, while also leading major TV projects like Expats and The Perfect Couple. As if that wasn’t enough, she’s back as Kaitlyn Meade in the second season of Taylor Sheridan’s Lioness, premiering on Paramount+ on Oct. 27.
The momentum doesn’t stop there. Kidman will also appear in Season 2 of Hulu’s Nine Perfect Strangers, lend her voice to the animated film Spellbound, and star in the thriller Holland, Michigan. Additionally, she’ll take on the title role in Scarpetta, Amazon’s adaptation of Patricia Cornwell’s crime novels, co-starring Jamie Lee Curtis and Ariana DeBose. If Kidman has her way, she’s also hoping to revive two beloved projects: a third season of Big Little Lies and a sequel to Practical Magic.
Despite this whirlwind of commitments, Kidman insists she makes time for rest. “I slept nine hours last night,” she told Variety at the Lioness Season 2 premiere in Los Angeles.
While she occasionally considers stepping away from the spotlight, her sense of purpose keeps her going. “I think about taking a break,” she admits. “But there are so many ways to use what I’ve learned to support others—whether it’s working with talents like Helena [Reijn] on Babygirl or creating opportunities for the next generation. It’s hard for me to say, ‘I’ll just focus on myself,’ because I love helping others. Plus, I still have that passion.”
Kidman also emphasizes how important it is for her to stay grounded: “I love my work, but I go home to my family. We do things together. I’m not someone who goes to nightclubs—I’m with my loved ones.”
Her upcoming collaboration with Jamie Lee Curtis in Scarpetta has her excited, marking the first time the two legends will share the screen. “Jamie is incredible,” Kidman says. “She’s at such a powerful point in her career, and it’s so inspiring to watch her own it.”
Kidman’s Lioness co-stars couldn’t help but share stories about her kindness and humility. Jill Wagner, who plays Bobby, recalled a touching gesture Kidman made: “A friend of mine was visiting set, and her mother had just survived cancer. Nicole went out of her way to film a sweet video message for her, without me even asking. That’s just the kind of person she is.”
Zoe Saldaña, who stars as Joe, said she was nervous to meet Kidman but was quickly put at ease. “I was thinking, ‘Don’t mess up, act cool.’ But by the end, we were just swapping parenting tips and chatting about restaurants like old friends.”
Even with her incredible workload, Kidman says she wouldn’t trade it for anything. “This is what I dreamed of as a little girl. I love what I do, so I’m going to give it my all. I just need to take care of my body—and maybe gain some superpowers along the way!”
With her passion, dedication, and generosity, Kidman proves she’s more than just a Hollywood icon—she’s a force of nature.
