Saif Ali Khan Set to Return for Race 4 in 2025
Producer Ramesh Taurani Confirms Saif’s Comeback and Promises a Power-Packed Sequel

Veteran film producer Ramesh Taurani has announced that Saif Ali Khan will reprise his role in the fourth installment of the popular Race franchise. According to Taurani, Race 4 is expected to hit the floors in 2025, with Khan leading an ensemble cast. The founder of Tips Films shared his excitement about having Saif back in the franchise, noting his stellar performances in the first two films.
“Saif will be back in Race, and we’re thrilled to have him. He did an amazing job in the first two films,” Taurani told PTI. “We are finalizing the script and cast, but we haven’t locked in a director yet. We’ll make an official announcement before production begins, most likely next year.”

Reflecting on the box office performance of Race 3, Taurani said the film was commercially successful, grossing over ₹180 crore, even though it fell short of the expected ₹200-250 crore mark. He acknowledged that while the third installment did not receive the same critical acclaim as the first two, the team is determined to improve for Race 4.
The Race franchise, which kicked off in 2008 with Saif Ali Khan and Akshaye Khanna playing brothers caught in a web of betrayal and deceit, is renowned for its high-octane action, glamorous settings, and complex storylines. Taurani stressed that despite some criticisms of Race 3, it would be wrong to say the film didn’t perform well at the box office.
