Govinda Hospitalized After Accidental Gunshot Wound at Juhu Residence

Actor’s Condition Stable; Thanks Fans and Doctors for Support After Early Morning Mishap

Bollywood star Govinda was rushed to the hospital early this morning after suffering a gunshot wound to his leg, confirmed the Mumbai Police. The incident occurred around 4:45 a.m. at the actor’s Juhu residence due to a misfire from his licensed revolver. According to his manager, the 60-year-old actor is safe and recovering well.

In an audio message, Govinda expressed gratitude to his fans, parents, and guru, stating, “I was hit by a bullet, but it has been removed. I thank the doctors here and your prayers.”

Govinda’s manager, Shashi Sinha, provided further details, explaining that the actor was preparing to leave for Kolkata when the revolver accidentally discharged while being placed in a cabinet. The bullet struck Govinda just below the knee. His wife, Sunita Ahuja, was in Kolkata at the time and immediately flew back to Mumbai after hearing the news. Govinda’s daughter, Tina, is currently with him at the hospital.

Authorities were alerted immediately, and the actor was transported to Criticare Hospital for treatment. Sinha confirmed that Govinda’s condition is stable and that the actor has not filed any police complaints.

“We had a 6 a.m. flight to Kolkata for a show. Govinda ji was about to leave his residence when the accident occurred. Thankfully, it was a minor injury,” Sinha added.
