Kangana Ranaut’s New Luxury Car Purchase Makes Waves Amid Ongoing ‘Emergency’ Film Controversy
After Mortgaging Properties for Her Ambitious Film, Kangana Treats Herself to a 3.81 Crore Range Rover

Kangana Ranaut is once again in the spotlight, but this time, it’s for a luxurious addition to her lifestyle. The actress recently made headlines after purchasing a high-end Range Rover, priced at an impressive ₹3.81 crore. This news follows closely after Kangana revealed she had mortgaged all her properties to fund her ambitious biographical film, Emergency. The release of the film has been delayed, entangled in controversies and awaiting approval from the authorities.
The Queen star bought the swanky 5-seater SUV after reportedly selling her Pali Hill bungalow for ₹32 crore. The official social media page of the luxury car brand celebrated her purchase by posting several photos. Dressed in a simple white salwar kameez with a light blue dupatta, Kangana was seen performing a puja for her new vehicle. In a heartwarming moment, she posed with her nephew, Ashwathamma, during the ceremony. The post from the car manufacturer praised her success, stating, “From ruling the silver screen to conquering the roads in style, you always know how to make a statement.”
This lavish acquisition comes after Kangana revealed the financial strain she endured while making Emergency. Earlier last year, she disclosed that she had to mortgage almost all her properties to finance the film. Reflecting on the experience, she called it a “rebirth,” as she navigated this challenging phase of her life.
Regarding Emergency, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) informed the Bombay High Court that most of the changes suggested by the reviewing committee had been accepted by the filmmakers. With these modifications in place, fans are hopeful that the film will finally see a release date soon. Emergency marks Kangana’s second time in the director’s chair, following her 2019 film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi.
