Renowned Music Director Vipin Reshammiya Passes Away at 87

Himesh Reshammiya’s Father, a Legendary Figure in the Indian Music Industry, Leaves Behind a Lasting Legacy

Acclaimed music director Vipin Reshammiya, the father of popular singer-composer Himesh Reshammiya, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, September 18, at the age of 87. The family released a heartfelt statement expressing their deep sorrow and sharing that his kind soul and love for life touched the lives of all who knew him.

Vipin Reshammiya’s final rites were held on Thursday, September 19, at 11:30 AM at Oshiwara Crematorium in Mumbai.

According to news reports, Vipin Reshammiya was admitted to Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital for respiratory issues and age-related health problems.

His son, Himesh Reshammiya, is a well-known figure in the Indian music industry, having established himself as a composer, singer, actor, and producer. Himesh made his acting debut in the 2007 film “Aap Kaa Surroor” and has since starred in several other movies. He has also been a judge on numerous television singing reality shows, including “Music Ka Maha Muqqabla,” “Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge,” “Indian Idol,” and “Sur Kshetra.”
