Arshad Warsi and Vikrant Massey Team Up for a Cybercrime Thriller on Disney+ Hotstar

Everyone’s beloved Circuit from the Munna Bhai series is gearing up for a new adventure, but this time, he’s trading the streets for the digital world. Arshad Warsi is set to join forces with the director of the *Munna Bhai* films, Rajkumar Hirani, for a thrilling new web series titled Pritam Pedro.

This marks Hirani’s debut in the OTT space and promises a unique blend of crime drama and his signature humor. The series will see Warsi and Vikrant Massey play two cops with contrasting personalities, teaming up to solve complex cybercrimes. Warsi will take on the role of Pedro, the seasoned officer with traditional investigative methods, while Massey will portray Pritam, the tech-savvy cop who uses modern technology to crack cases.

While Hirani is known for his heartwarming comedies with social messages, Pritam Pedro will delve into the darker world of cybercrime. The filmmaker may direct a few episodes of the series, but the primary directing duties will be handled by Amir Satyaveer Singh.

The production team has chosen Goa as the main filming location, with additional scenes to be shot in Mumbai and Pune. Filming is expected to begin in November 2023, and the series’ release date on Disney+ Hotstar is yet to be announced.

Besides Pritam Pedro, Warsi has several other exciting projects in the works, including Welcome To The Jungle and Jolly LLB 3. Massey, fresh from the success of *12th Fail* and Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba, will also be seen in the Netflix crime thriller *Sector 36*. Hirani’s last film, Dunki starring Shah Rukh Khan, was a box office hit.
