Pushpa 2: The Rule Gets a Pricey Facial Hair Fix
Allu Arjun’s Beard Requires High-Tech Prosthetic and Makeup Artist for Filming

Fans of Allu Arjun were left scratching their heads when photos surfaced of the actor with a shorter beard. This came amidst rumors of creative differences between Arjun and director Sukumar regarding the shoot schedule and release date for the highly anticipated sequel, Pushpa 2: The Rule.
While those differences were reportedly resolved and filming resumed ahead of schedule, Arjun’s signature beard in the first Pushpa film presented a new hurdle. To maintain continuity, the Pushpa 2 team brought in a top makeup artist from Mumbai to create a realistic prosthetic beard for the actor. According to Telugu360 This meticulous process is reportedly costing the production a cool Rs 40 lakh.

The hefty price tag for facial hair adds to the already growing budget of Pushpa 2, which has seen delays due to extended filming days. Despite these challenges, Allu Arjun has assured fans that the film remains on track for its December 6th release date. Rashmika Mandanna reprises her role as the leading lady, while Fahadh Faasil plays the antagonist. The big-budget production is bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers with music and background score by Devi Sri Prasad.
