Travis Kelce Lands Lead Role in Action Comedy
Kansas Chiefs Star Joins Forces with John Wick Producer for Lionsgate Project

NFL superstar Travis Kelce is trading in his cleats for a leading role in the upcoming action comedy, *Loose Cannons*. The film, currently in development at Lionsgate, will see the Kansas City Chiefs tight end team up with a fellow unhinged officer as they tackle the cases no one else can.
The project, which is being produced by John Wick filmmaker Chad Stahelski and his partner Jason Spitz, is described as a blend of classic buddy cop comedies like *Lethal Weapon*, *Bad Boys*, and *Rush Hour*. The script, penned by Tim Dowling, follows two mismatched cops who are forced to partner up after their precincts merge.
Kelce, who has long expressed a desire to pursue acting, has already made several strides in the entertainment industry. In addition to his role in *Loose Cannons*, he has also signed on to host a reboot of *Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader* and is set to appear in the upcoming Ryan Murphy horror series, *Grotesquerie*.
Chad Stahelski, who is deeply involved in Lionsgate’s feature projects, is also working on a remake of *Highlander* and overseeing the John Wick franchise. Dowling, meanwhile, has a track record of writing successful comedies, including *Role Models*, *Office Christmas Party*, and *Just Go With It*.
Loose Cannons marks a significant step forward for Kelce’s acting career and promises to be a thrilling addition to the action comedy genre.
