Four Charged in Murder of ‘General Hospital’ Star Johnny Wactor
Suspects Accused of Killing Actor During Catalytic Converter Theft

Four individuals have been charged in connection with the tragic murder of former “General Hospital” actor Johnny Wactor, District Attorney George Gascón announced Monday. Wactor, a beloved 37-year-old actor, was fatally shot on May 25th while confronting a group of men attempting to steal the catalytic converter from his vehicle in downtown Los Angeles.
Arrested last Thursday, the suspects include 18-year-olds Robert Barceleau, Leonel Gutierrez, Sergio Estrada, and 22-year-old Frank Olano. Barceleau, the alleged shooter, faces a murder charge with special circumstances due to the killing occurring during a robbery attempt. This charge carries a potential life sentence without parole.
Both Barceleau and Estrada have also been charged with attempted robbery and grand theft. Estrada’s murder charge does not include the special circumstance. While the specifics of the charges against Gutierrez and Olano have not been fully disclosed, their involvement in the case is significant.
