South Indian Stars Rally for Wayanad Landslide Relief
Massive Donations Pour In as Kerala Recovers from Devastating Landslide

In the wake of a catastrophic landslide in Wayanad, Kerala, which claimed hundreds of lives and obliterated entire villages, the South Indian film industry has stepped up with significant donations to aid the victims. Leading the charge is Pan-Indian star Prabhas, who contributed a record-breaking Rs 2 crores to the Kerala Chief Minister Relief Fund, the highest donation from a Tollywood actor to date.
Other notable contributions from Telugu cinema include Megastar Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan, who each donated Rs 1 crore, and Allu Arjun, who provided Rs 50 lakhs. Actress Rashmika Mandanna added Rs 10 lakhs to the relief efforts.
The Tamil film industry also showed its support, with brothers Suriya and Karthi donating Rs 50 lakhs and Vikram contributing Rs 20 lakhs. From the Malayalam cinema, Superstar Mohanlal made a substantial donation of Rs 3 crores, while Mammootty and Dulquer Salmaan each gave Rs 50 lakhs.
As Wayanad struggles to rebuild and recover from the annual monsoon-triggered landslides, the Kerala government, alongside the central government, continues to seek a lasting solution to the region’s recurring natural disasters.
