Dhanush’s cinematic journey hit a golden milestone with the release of his 50th film, “Raayan.” The movie has not only captivated audiences but also shattered box office records, positioning itself as a potential career-best for the versatile actor. But there’s more to the success story.

In a groundbreaking achievement, Sun Pictures announced that “Raayan’s” screenplay has earned a coveted spot in the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ prestigious library. This extraordinary recognition is a testament to Dhanush’s exceptional talent as both an actor and a director. Having penned the screenplay himself, the actor-director adds this honor to his already impressive collection, including multiple National Awards.

“Raayan” boasts a star-studded cast featuring SJ Suryah, Selvaraghavan, Sundeep Kishan, Kalidas Jayaram, Dushara Vijayan, and Prakash Raj, among others. The film’s musical brilliance is courtesy of AR Rahman, while Om Prakash and Prasanna GK handled cinematography and editing, respectively.

Currently, Dhanush is immersed in Sekhar Kammula’s “Kubera,” sharing the screen with Nagarjuna. With several Bollywood projects and the much-anticipated Tamil biopic on Ilayaraja in the pipeline, the actor-director’s star continues to rise.
