Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana: A Cinematic Masterpiece Takes Shape

Massive Production Underway for Ranbir Kapoor starrer Magnum Opus

Riding high on the success of *Animal*, Ranbir Kapoor is diving headfirst into the mythological epic *Ramayana*. Helmed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film has been in extensive pre-production for years, with the director meticulously crafting the script.

Currently, a sprawling set replicating the ancient cities of Ayodhya and Mithila is under construction at Mumbai Film City. This massive undertaking, designed to accommodate 3D shooting, is expected to be completed by mid-August. With the set nearing completion, the principal photography is set to resume in the same month, with lead actors Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi reprising their roles as Rama and Sita respectively.

Joining the star-studded cast is Kannada sensation Yash as Ravana, who has already wrapped up a portion of his scenes. Rumors also suggest that Sunny Deol might be stepping into the iconic role of Lord Hanuman.

Director Nitesh Tiwari and his team have ambitious plans to complete both parts of the *Ramayana* by the end of 2025. This massive project, which is estimated to require a staggering 350 shooting days, will also undergo extensive post-production. While the makers are tight-lipped about the release dates, they have indicated that they will be announced next year.

Ramayana promises to be a visual spectacle, with its grand scale and meticulous attention to detail.
