Vikrant Massey on Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba: Rishu is Darker, Desperate, and Deeper in Love

Actor reveals a drastic shift in his character from the first film

Vikrant Massey’s portrayal of Rishabh ‘Rishu’ Saxena in the first *Haseen Dillruba* won hearts with his portrayal of the ideal husband and son. But the sequel, *Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba*, takes a darker turn.

In an interview, Massey opened up about the evolution of his character. “Rishu is a far cry from the man we saw in the first film,” he confessed. “The situations he’s thrown into have pushed him to extremes. His love for Rani (Taapsee Pannu) remains the core of his character, but his actions are driven by desperation.”

When asked about the film’s place in the crowded landscape of Bollywood thrillers, Massey highlighted the element of surprise. “Every character in *Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba* is unpredictable,” he said. “Their actions might be shocking, but they’re always justified in their own minds. That’s what keeps the audience on the edge of their seats.”

With the first film being a massive hit, the actor is hopeful that the sequel will live up to the expectations. “We’re confident that the audience will embrace this new chapter in the *Haseen Dillruba* universe,” he concluded.
