Steven Soderbergh’s Star-Studded Spy Thriller ‘Black Bag’ Gets Release Date

All-Star Cast to Unravel High-Stakes Mystery

Steven Soderbergh’s highly anticipated spy drama, “Black Bag,” has locked in a March 14th theatrical release date. The film boasts an impressive ensemble cast led by Academy Award winners Cate Blanchett and Michael Fassbender, with additional star power from Regé-Jean Page, Marisa Abela, Naomie Harris, Tom Burke, and Pierce Brosnan.

The plot, shrouded in secrecy, is being kept tightly under wraps by the acclaimed director. However, the film promises a high-stakes mystery that Soderbergh is known for crafting. David Koepp, the mind behind “Jurassic Park,” penned the screenplay, while Casey Silver and Greg Jacobs serve as producers.

Focus Features will handle distribution in the US, while Universal Pictures International takes the reins internationally. The film marks yet another collaboration between Soderbergh and Koepp, following their successful work on “Kimi” and “Presence.”

“Black Bag” is just one of the exciting projects lined up by Focus Features. The studio’s upcoming slate also includes the Pharrell Williams biopic “Piece By Piece,” Robert Eggers’ “Nosferatu,” and Yorgos Lanthimos’ “Bugonia,” among others.
