Superman Film Adds Former SNL Star Beck Bennett to Star-Studded Cast
David Corenswet as Clark Kent and Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane Lead Ensemble Cast

The upcoming Superman film, currently in production in Atlanta, stars David Corenswet as Clark Kent/Superman and Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, the intrepid reporter for the Daily Planet. Joining them is Nicholas Hoult as the notorious villain Lex Luthor.
The film will feature beloved characters from Superman’s world, including Jimmy Olsen, played by Skyler Gisondo, Eve Teschmacher, portrayed by Sara Sampaio, and Perry White, the editor-in-chief of the Daily Planet, played by Wendell Pierce.
Expanding the universe, the movie introduces several DC heroes. Edi Gathegi takes on the role of Mister Terrific, Anthony Carrigan is Metamorpho, Isabela Merced is Hawkgirl, Nathan Fillion plays Guy Gardner, and María Gabriela de Faría is The Engineer.

Sources reveal that Bennett will portray one of the notable reporters at the Daily Planet, though DC Studios has yet to comment.
Bennett, known for his eight-season tenure on SNL from 2013 to 2021, has also been busy with voice work, most recently in the 2023 film Nimona and Disney Channel’s Random Things. He was last seen in the Netflix comedy Unfrosted, co-written, directed, and starring Jerry Seinfeld.
Superman is set to hit theaters on July 11, 2025.
