Screenwriter Adam Sztykiel to Make Directorial Debut with MRC Production

In a promising collaboration, Karen Gillian and Zoë Chao are set to star in the upcoming comedy film “Let’s Have Kids!” produced by MRC. The movie marks a directorial debut for Adam Sztykiel, known for his work on DC’s “Black Adam” and “Due Date”.

The storyline revolves around Emma and Phoebe, lifelong friends portrayed by Gillian and Chao, who embark on a shared journey to motherhood. Their plan to synchronize their pregnancies to navigate the challenges of parenthood together hits a snag when only one of them becomes pregnant, testing the depth of their friendship.

Penned by Sztykiel alongside Ellie Knaus, the script promises a blend of humor and heartfelt moments as the characters navigate the complexities of impending motherhood. Production is slated to begin this year, adding anticipation for what promises to be an engaging and relatable comedy.

Behind the scenes, the film is helmed by producer Becky Sloviter, known for her work on “Palm Springs” and the acclaimed series “PEN15”, through her production company A Dare To Be Great Situation.

Gillian, renowned for her role as Nebula in the Marvel Studios’ “Guardians of the Galaxy” trilogy, brings her seasoned talent to the project.
