Rajkummar Rao Denies Plastic Surgery Rumors, Admits to Fillers in Past
Renowned Actor Sets the Record Straight in Recent Interview, Clarifies Cosmetic Procedure History

In a recent interview, Rajkummar Rao addressed circulating rumors suggesting he underwent plastic surgery following the emergence of viral images from a previous event. Speaking to news outlet PTI, the actor firmly denied such claims, stating, “I’ve never undergone any form of plastic surgery. If you scrutinize that particular picture again, you’ll notice it’s the only one of its kind spanning 14 years. I believe it’s been touched up, given how flawlessly my skin appears. Even I found it astonishing how immaculate it looked without any makeup, despite a full day of shooting.”
While refuting plastic surgery, Rao did acknowledge having undergone fillers several years ago. “However, let’s clarify… Early in my career, I encountered numerous remarks regarding my appearance. About 8-9 years ago, I opted for a minor chin enhancement with fillers, a quick procedure lasting half an hour, aimed at boosting my confidence, which it did. It certainly enhanced my self-assurance and aesthetic, but it hasn’t altered me fundamentally as a person or as an artist,” PTI quoted Rao as explaining.
Alongside critically acclaimed performances in films like “Shahid,” “Kai Po Che!,” “The White Tiger,” “Gangs of Wasseypur – Part 2,” “Love Sex Aur Dhokha,” “Aligarh,” “Trapped,” “Bheed,” and “Newton,” Rajkummar Rao has also ventured into directing. His repertoire includes box office hits such as “Badhaai Do,” “Bareilly Ki Barfi,” “Queen,” and “Streee.”
