Alia Bhatt to Host Inaugural Hope Gala in London

Renowned producer, entrepreneur, and actor, Alia Bhatt, is set to dazzle London with her first-ever Hope Gala. Scheduled for March 28, the event will take place at the prestigious Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, in collaboration with the esteemed Mandarin Oriental hotel chain.

A close source within Alia’s inner circle unveiled that the gala aims to support Salaam Bombay, a charitable organization close to Alia’s heart. Salaam Bombay is dedicated to empowering the most vulnerable children in Mumbai by providing after-school academies for skill-building and in-school programs focusing on leadership and advocacy, fostering their confidence and self-esteem. The event is expected to draw prolific industrialists and philanthropists from both London and India.

Recently, Alia concluded filming for “Jigra,” starring alongside Vedang Raina. Sharing candid snapshots from the film set on her Instagram, Alia announced the wrap-up. Fans can anticipate the movie’s release in theaters come September 2024.

Directed by Vasan Bala, “Jigra” is a collaborative effort between Alia and Karan Johar in the production realm. Vasan, known for his directorial ventures such as “Peddlers,” “Monica O My Darling,” and “Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota,” marks his first collaboration with Alia on screen.

Unveiled last September, “Jigra” promises a gripping narrative centered around a sister’s unwavering love for her brother, transcending all odds to ensure his safety. Additionally, Alia is set to share the screen with Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif in Farhan Akhtar’s upcoming film “Jee Le Zaraa,” speculated to echo the themes of camaraderie seen in classics like “Dil Chahta Hai” and “Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.” However, production for the movie is yet to commence.
