Dulquer Salmaan Drops Out of Mani Ratnam’s “Thug Life” Co-Starring Kamal Haasan

Dulquer Salmaan’s admirers were left disappointed as news surfaced of his departure from the much-anticipated film “Thug Life,” directed by acclaimed filmmaker Mani Ratnam and featuring the legendary Kamal Haasan. The actor was set to play a pivotal role in the project, but recent developments have led to his withdrawal.

In an exclusive statement to Zoom, a representative for Dulquer Salmaan confirmed the news, stating, “Yes, it’s true. He has opted out of Thug Life.”

“Thug Life,” touted as a family entertainer, has been in the pipeline for several months, with its second filming phase commencing earlier this month. However, speculation arose when reports emerged of Dulquer Salmaan’s exit from the star-studded venture.

Rumors suggest that the actor’s packed schedule became a hindrance, leading to his decision to step away from the project due to scheduling conflicts. His spokesperson elaborated, stating, “His dates aren’t available for Thug Life as there is a clash in his schedule.”

According to sources close to the actor, Dulquer was enthusiastic about joining the cast of “Thug Life.” Unfortunately, delays in the filming of his other project, “Lucky Bhaskar,” created scheduling conflicts with his prior commitments. The insider revealed, “He will also commence shooting for ‘Suriya 43’ by the end of March, leaving him unable to accommodate the dates for ‘Thug Life.'”

With a stellar ensemble cast including Kamal Haasan, Trisha, Jayam Ravi, Gautham Karthik, Aishwarye Lekshmi, and Joju George, anticipation for “Thug Life” remains high. While fans await news of Dulquer Salmaan’s replacement, the production is set to move to Serbia for its next shooting schedule.

Meanwhile, the talented actor is gearing up for his role in “Suriya 43,” directed by Sudha Kongara. Alongside Dulquer Salmaan, the film stars Vijay Varma and Nazriya Nazim in significant roles, promising another captivating cinematic experience.
