Dibakar Banerjee’s 2010 anthology “Love Sex Aur Dhokha” delved into narratives set in the age of omnipresent cameras and the internet. Now, the creators are back with “Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2,” a tale that reflects the complexities of love in the digital era, resonating deeply with today’s audience. Marking her feature film debut, social media sensation Uorfi Javed joins the cast, adding a contemporary flair to the narrative.

The anticipation surrounding the movie heightened with the revelation of cameo appearances by Tusshar Kapoor and Mouni Roy. However, the spotlight now shines on Uorfi Javed, whose unique style and substantial social media following are well-established.

Produced by Ektaa R Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor, “Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2” is a Dibakar Banerjee production presented by Balaji Motion Pictures and Cult Movies. Scheduled to hit theaters on April 19, the film promises a fresh take on modern relationships.

Reports suggest that Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia, a contestant from Bigg Boss 16, was handpicked by Ekta Kapoor and Dibakar Banerjee for the lead role in the sequel. This casting decision was made during their visit to the Bigg Boss house for talent scouting.

The original “Love Sex Aur Dhokha” featured talents like Rajkummar Rao, Neha Chauhan, Anshuman Jha, and Nushrratt Bharuccha. With Dibakar Banerjee at the helm, the sequel aims to captivate audiences once again with its exploration of contemporary relationships.

Dibakar Banerjee’s previous directorial venture, the 2021 black comedy “Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar,” starring Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra, received acclaim upon its digital release despite its theatrical debut coinciding with the peak of the pandemic.
