NCIS Reunion: Cote de Pablo and Michael Weatherly Return in Paris Adventure

Cote de Pablo and Michael Weatherly are making a triumphant return to the screen in a new Parisian spinoff, reviving their beloved roles as Ziva David and Tony DiNozzo from the hit series. The announcement follows Weatherly’s recent appearance on the flagship CBS series NCIS, where the show paid homage to the late David McCallum.

Having departed NCIS in 2013 and 2015 respectively, de Pablo and Weatherly left fans longing for more of their on-screen chemistry. In the series’ narrative, Tony left his duties to raise their daughter after Ziva’s supposed demise. However, when Ziva resurfaces years later, their reunion in Paris sets the stage for a new chapter.

The upcoming series will continue the saga from where it left off, delving into the aftermath of Tony’s security company coming under attack. As they navigate through Europe, hunted and in pursuit of the truth, they must rebuild trust amidst the danger, all while seeking their unconventional happily ever after.

“We’ve cherished this story for years, and with John McNamara leading the charge, we’re thrilled,” stated Weatherly and de Pablo. “The world of Tony and Ziva, along with their daughter Tali, promises an exhilarating ride filled with love, peril, and heartfelt moments. This is a tribute to our dedicated fans who’ve supported the ‘TIVA’ movement tirelessly.”

The series, a production of CBS Studios, will see McNamara spearheading as showrunner and executive producer alongside the dynamic duo, Laurie Lieser, Christina Strain, and Shelley Meals.

“I’m ecstatic to delve into the NCIS universe alongside Cote and Michael, exploring new dimensions,” expressed McNamara. “With the franchise’s global appeal, it’s remarkable to have the opportunity to film in Europe. As for the series title, well, that remains a classified secret.”

Set to premiere on Paramount+, the untitled series marks the franchise’s debut in the streaming realm. With the original series entering its 21st season on CBS and NCIS: Hawai’i on Monday nights, the NCIS family continues to expand. Alongside long-running favorites like NCIS: Los Angeles and NCIS: New Orleans, the franchise’s international footprint extends with NCIS: Sydney, which premiered in Australia and the U.S. last autumn. Collectively, these shows have delivered nearly a thousand episodes of thrilling investigative drama to audiences worldwide.
