Actor Suriya, known for his stellar performances, is set to collaborate once again with director Sudha Kongara following the triumph of their National Award-winning film “Soorarai Pottru.” Their latest project, tentatively titled “Suriya 43,” boasts a star-studded ensemble including Nazriya Nazim, Dulquer Salmaan, and Vijay Varma.

Scheduled to commence filming in mid-March, “Suriya 43” is poised to kickstart its journey in a college nestled in the heart of Madurai. The initial schedule will traverse through diverse locales including Rewari, Madurai, Trichy, and Chidambaram in Haryana.

In preparation for his role, Suriya is undergoing rigorous training to convincingly portray a student in pivotal scenes of the movie, in addition to his dubbing commitments for another project. Notably, “Suriya 43” marks composer GV Prakash’s landmark 100th project, adding another layer of anticipation to the film.

Touted to be inspired by true events, “Suriya 43” might don the moniker “Poorananooru.” The narrative purportedly revolves around a formidable figure from Madurai’s underworld seeking retribution against those who have wronged him, shedding light on the gritty realities of life.

While Suriya delves into the intricacies of “Suriya 43,” he’s concurrently occupied with the dubbing process for “Kanguva.” Directed by Siva, “Kanguva” recently wrapped up filming in January, transitioning into the post-production phase with an expected release in the second quarter of 2024.

The historical action drama “Kanguva” features an eclectic cast led by Bobby Deol, Suriya, and Disha Patani, with the musical genius Devi Sri Prasad composing the soundtrack. As anticipation builds for both projects, fans eagerly await the cinematic magic these collaborations are set to unfurl.
