Dhanush’s 50th Production “Raayan”: Script Clarification and First Look Revealed

Recent speculations suggested that Selvaraghavan, the brother of actor Dhanush, might be crafting the script for “Raayan,” marking Dhanush’s milestone 50th production. Dhanush, who debuted as an actor-director with “Thulluvadho Ilamai” in 2002, swiftly addressed these rumors, asserting that he solely conceived the project.

In a statement shared on social media platform X, Selvaraghavan debunked the hearsay, stating, “Friends, there have been reports claiming my involvement in scripting D50 ‘Raayan.’ I want to clarify that I have no association with the script or its creation. It’s entirely @dhanushkraja’s brainchild, now materialized into his film. I’m simply an actor in this venture.” Expressing eagerness for the film’s release, he further praised his brother’s dedication and effort.

“Raayan” marks Dhanush’s second directorial venture after “Pa Paandi” in 2017. The revelation of the movie’s title and initial imagery, featuring Sundeep Kishan and Kalidas Jayaram in prominent roles, was recently unveiled. The unveiled image depicts Dhanush standing before a food truck, sporting a mustache and a shaved head, facing the camera head-on. Clad in an apron and a bloodied shirt, he holds a sharp steel implement. The film will be released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages.

Simultaneously working on “Raayan,” Dhanush is also engaged in filming his inaugural Telugu project under director Sekhar Kammula’s helm. The movie boasts a stellar cast including Jim Sarbh, Rashmika Mandanna, and Nagarjuna in pivotal roles.
