Marvel Studios Shuffles Release Dates for 2025 Blockbusters: Thunderbolts and Fantastic Four

Marvel Studios has made significant adjustments to its 2025 movie lineup, rescheduling the release dates for two highly anticipated films, Thunderbolts and Fantastic Four.

In a strategic move, Thunderbolts, initially slated for July 25, 2025, has been expedited and will now hit theaters on May 2, 2025. Conversely, Fantastic Four, which had secured the May slot, finds itself pushed back to July 25, 2025, accommodating Thunderbolts’ earlier release.

Accompanying this announcement, Marvel has unveiled the official cast for Fantastic Four through a Valentine’s Day surprise on their Twitter handle. The captivating vintage-style illustration introduces Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby as Susan ‘Sue’ Storm Richards (Invisible Woman), Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Benjamin Grimm (The Thing), and Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm (The Human Torch). This fresh ensemble hints at a nostalgic journey, possibly set in the 1960s, teased further by the inclusion of a 1963 issue of Life Magazine in the artwork.

Both Thunderbolts and Fantastic Four are integral components of Marvel’s Phase 6, promising fans a thrilling cinematic experience. Thunderbolts is scheduled for a May 2, 2025 release, followed by Fantastic Four on July 25, 2025.
