Vaani Kapoor Takes the Lead Opposite Ajay Devgn in Highly Anticipated Sequel, “Raid 2”

In the much-awaited sequel, “Raid 2,” Bollywood actor Vaani Kapoor is set to play the leading role alongside Ajay Devgn. The film officially commenced its shooting in Mumbai on January 6, marking it as one of the most anticipated sequels. Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, who helmed the first installment, the sequel is being produced under the banners of T-Series and Panorama Studios, with support from Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak. Currently in production, the movie is set to be extensively filmed in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, and Mumbai.

Actor Ravi Teja added a special touch to the beginning of “Raid 2” by presenting Ajay Devgn with a mahurat clap on Saturday. Ajay shared a cheerful photo from the mahurat shot on Instagram, capturing the vibrant energy on set. In the picture, both Ajay and Ravi Teja can be seen grinning together. Ajay expressed his gratitude to Ravi Teja in the caption, stating, “New Case, New Beginning! #Raid2 officially kicked off today, and the energy on set was nothing short of electrifying! Shukriya @raviteja_2628, for gracing the mahurat shot.” The highly anticipated sequel is scheduled to hit theaters on November 15.

In the 2018 film “Raid,” Ileana D’Cruz and Saurabh Shukla also played significant roles. Based on a real-life raid conducted by Income Tax Department officers in the 1980s, the movie featured Ileana as Ajay’s spouse.

Vaani Kapoor’s upcoming project after “Raid 2” is the Maddock Films production, “Sarvagunn Sampanna.” Set in the 1990s, Vaani will portray a porn star impersonator in the film, adding an intriguing element to the narrative.
