Prime Video Secures Straight-to-Series Order for Explosive Comedy Starring Octavia Spencer and Hannah Waddingham

In a fierce bidding war among multiple contenders, the upcoming comedy series from Skydance Television, created by Tessa Coates, has found its exclusive home on Prime Video. Oscar winner Octavia Spencer and Emmy winner Hannah Waddingham are not only set to star in the yet-to-be-titled show but will also serve as executive producers.

The eight-episode series, born from an original pitch by Coates, revolves around the lives of two seemingly inseparable best friends, Judith (played by Waddingham) and Debbie (played by Spencer). However, the twist lies in the fact that Debbie remains oblivious to Judith’s clandestine life as a highly skilled assassin. When a mission takes a disastrous turn, the duo must embark on a thrilling escape together, navigating a perilous path to mend their fractured friendship. Meanwhile, a shadowy adversary with deadly intentions adds an extra layer of suspense, keeping the pair on the run and in constant danger.
