The actors began rehearsing for “Doctor G,” in which Ayushmann Khurrana and Rakulpreet Singh would appear together, in April of last year. The movie is billed as a comedy set on a college campus, where Ayushmann plays a doctor. His persona is called Dr. Uday Gupta. Shefali Shah and Sheeba Chaddha also play significant parts in “Doctor G.”

Diwali is a significant time for movie releases since on October 24, two blockbusters will be released: “Thank God” by Ajay Devgn and “Ram Setu” by Akshay Kumar.
