The ninth episode brings us back to the high-stakes energy we’ve been missing, and yes, Harvey Specter plays a big part in that. Ted Black and Harvey head to New York to deal with Pellegrini once and for all, reigniting the sharp dynamic we caught glimpses of in earlier episodes. The flashbacks are everywhere, revealing long-teased secrets and giving us a clearer picture of what pushed Ted out of the prosecutor’s office in the first place.

Ted’s flashbacks fill in missing pieces about the Pellegrini case, including the emotional fallout of trusting the wrong witness and going head-to-head with political pressure. Meanwhile, Harvey, in true Specter fashion, balances loyalty and ego as he works behind the scenes, helping Ted navigate loopholes and throw punches with style.

Back in LA, Stuart’s shady new client is causing him more headaches. After a key witness mysteriously dies, Stuart begins to suspect his involvement, unintentionally or not. Erica and Rick also keep circling each other romantically, but their budding chemistry is more of a side note than a driving force. By the end, we’re not only caught up on past events, we’re also forced to wonder what’s left for the next few episodes.

This might be the best episode of the season so far, but that’s not saying as much as it should. The writing feels tighter, and the pacing is finally on point, yet there’s a weird emptiness underneath it all. We get answers, sure. The problem is, they all come at once. It’s as if the show had been holding back only to rush everything in one go.

Harvey steals every scene he’s in, which only reminds us how much more magnetic the original Suits cast was. That charisma? It’s missing from Ted Black. Even at his best, Ted lacks the edge and charm that made the original series sparkle.

With so many plot threads tied up and four episodes still left, I’m honestly unsure what we’re supposed to look forward to. The fun is there, the momentum is back, but the direction? Still missing.
