Plot Overview:
Based on a true story from 2017, The Diplomat follows the harrowing journey of Uzma Ahmed (Sadia Khateeb), an Indian woman deceived into crossing the Wagah border into Pakistan by Tahir (Jagjeet Sandhu). Initially appearing kind in Malaysia, Tahir reveals his true, sinister intentions upon taking Uzma to Buner, a perilous area in Pakistan.
There, amidst danger and mistreatment, Uzma is coerced into marriage despite Tahir’s existing marriages.
