Veteran actor Manoj Bajpayee is not one to offer compliments lightly. But on the birthday of his The Family Man Season 2 co-star Samantha Ruth Prabhu, he couldn’t help but express admiration for her talent and dedication, calling her one of the boldest actors he’s worked with.

While both actors earned widespread acclaim for their gripping performances in the Amazon Prime series, Manoj revealed that Samantha’s deep preparation for her role as Raji left a lasting impression on him. “She’s not afraid to take risks,” he said, adding that Samantha brought an incredible level of commitment to mastering her character’s body language and dialect.

As a self-proclaimed film enthusiast, Manoj shared that he had watched Samantha’s previous work to better understand her craft when he learned that creators Raj and DK had cast her. “I’m always curious about actors I’m going to work with. I like to recognize and bond with talented colleagues,” he noted.

One performance that especially stood out to him was Samantha’s role in Super Deluxe. “She was magnificent,” he said. “As an unfaithful wife hiding her lover’s body with her husband’s help — she completely nailed it. I told her that the very first time we met in Chennai.”

What further impressed Manoj was Samantha’s physical preparation for The Family Man 2, where she portrayed a deadly rebel operative. “I’ve seen her training videos — martial arts and more. That kind of passion pushes everyone around to do better,” he said. “It’s incredibly motivating to work alongside someone who invests so much into the process.”
