Alia Bhatt Debuts as Author with Children’s Book Series

The Adventures of Ed-a-Mamma: Ed Finds A Home” Marks the Start of a New Journey

On Sunday, actor-producer Alia Bhatt announced her new role as a published author with the release of her children’s picture book, “The Adventures of Ed-a-Mamma: Ed Finds A Home.” This book is the first installment in Alia’s series of children’s picture books, inspired by her kids’ apparel line, Ed-a-Mamma. The book, illustrated by children’s book artist Tanvi Bhat, focuses on themes of caring for the planet and forming friendships with pets.

Sharing her excitement on social media, Alia posted a picture of herself holding the book and wrote, “A new adventure begins. ‘Ed Finds A Home’ is just the beginning of a new series of books from the universe of Ed-a-Mamma. My childhood was filled with storytelling and storytellers, and I dreamed of bringing out that child in me through books for children. I am so grateful to my fellow storytellers, Vivek Kamath, @shabnamminwalla, and @tanvibhat.draws, whose wonderful ideas, inputs, and imagination helped bring our first book to life. Published by Puffin Books India, Penguin Books India’s children’s label, “Ed Finds A Home” is now available for purchase. Alia Bhatt launched Ed-a-Mamma, a maternity and childrenswear line, in 2020. Last year, Reliance Retail acquired a 51 percent stake in the brand, forming a joint venture. In 2021, Alia also founded the production company Eternal Sunshine Productions.
