Agastya Nanda’s Big-Screen Debut “Ikkis” Set for December 2025 Release
Directed by Sriram Raghavan, the war biopic will see Agastya portraying India’s youngest Param Vir Chakra awardee, Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal.

It’s official — Agastya Nanda’s first major theatrical release, Ikkis, is confirmed to hit cinemas in December 2025. After making his acting debut in Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies (2023) on Netflix, this film marks Agastya’s transition to the big screen.
The makers unveiled the first-look poster of Ikkis on October 14, coinciding with the birth anniversary of war hero Arun Khetarpal. The announcement also revealed that the film has officially wrapped production. Maddock Films shared the poster with a heartfelt caption that read, “On the birth anniversary of Arun Khetarpal, Ikkis – a story that will forever stay in our hearts – is wrapped. Dinesh Vijan and Maddock Films present #Ikkis, directed by Sriram Raghavan, a true untold story of the youngest officer recipient of the Param Vir Chakra. In cinemas December 2025!”
Another caption accompanying the release poster stated, “Woh Ikkis ka tha, Ikkis ka hi rahega,” reinforcing the emotional depth of the title.
Agastya Nanda will portray Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, India’s youngest Param Vir Chakra recipient, who was martyred at the age of 21 during the 1971 Indo-Pak war. The film celebrates his unmatched courage and sacrifice. Alongside Agastya, the film also features veteran stars like Dharmendra, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Sikandar Kher in key roles.
The title Ikkis (meaning “twenty-one”) holds special significance as it reflects both Khetarpal’s age and his eternal legacy of valor. With Sriram Raghavan — known for acclaimed thrillers like Andhadhun and Badlapur — stepping into patriotic territory, expectations from the film are sky-high.
While the exact date in December 2025 is yet to be revealed, the announcement has already stirred excitement among audiences and critics alike. Ikkis promises to be an emotional, character-driven war drama that honors a national hero’s bravery.
