We are now at the last episode of “The Witcher,” Season Three, volume one, and we are left with many questions patiently waiting to be answered in probably the second volume of season three.

We saw in the last episode of “The Witcher,” where Yennefer and Geralt stepped out arm in arm and dressed to kill at a lavish ball, but all is not as it seems during a night of revelry and revelations.

Thankfully, unlike more recent forays into the Witcher universe, all of that background is told concisely and entertainingly and sits largely in the background. This lets the show bring its focus back to the main cast — and this time, it does right by those characters. Geralt remains a sullen yet surprisingly lovable centrist, as always. Still, Yenn has returned to being a powerful, defiantly independent mage. Ciri is coming into her own and is finally more than just a damsel in distress whose power is activated by screams.

This shift is best exemplified by Jaskier (Joey Batey), who devolved into a sullen rock star in season 2 but returns to being a free spirit who makes far too many jokes, usually at the wrong time. This time, he has a rivalry with another bard and a delightfully intense crush on a prince. He feels like Jaskier again despite the change of hair and eyeliner.

The first half of the season returns to what made the show so successful in the first place, and “The Witcher” season 3 sets up an epic finale for Henry Cavill’s Geralt.
It is also important to know that The Witcher season 3 was split in half because ‘cliffhangers don’t really exist’ in streaming.

If we talk about the other characters and actors playing those roles, such as Anya Chalotra, who reprises her role as Yennefer of Vengerberg in “The Witcher” Season 3 cast. The yen has been on quite the journey throughout the past two chapters and is now the most powerful mage ever to have graduated from Aretuza. Like Geralt, she is reunited with her family of destiny, and we see her finally fulfilling her dream of being a mother. But she’s got her work cut out for her – as well as attempting to win back her partner’s trust following the events of the Season 2 finale, she’s also determined to teach Ciri how to harness her power.

Freya Allan is back as Princess Cirilla of Cintra, better known as Ciri, the prophesied Child of Elder Blood whose untapped powers make her vulnerable to pretty much every force on the Continent, from the Nilfgaardian Empire and Redanian monarchs to elves, mages, and monsters. We’ve seen Allan progress in acting throughout “The Witcher”. Season 3 sees her undergo an identity crisis: is she the Cintran heiress? Is she a mage? Is she a Witcher? Watch to find out!

That brings us to the end of season three, volume one of “The Witcher”. We cannot wait to see how the second volume will unravel and see Liam Hemsworth as Geralt quite soon!
Meanwhile, you can rewatch the series to have a recap session.
