PLOT

A 16-year-old girl is the subject of this movie. When she was young, a priest sexually assaulted her. What transpires in this case once the girl and her parents decide to sue the priest? Is justice served to that girl? What is it that she is required to pay for it? How can a trustworthy attorney aid her in this situation? This movie shows all of this.

This narrative and its dialogue were thoughtfully written by Deepak Kingrani. The movie appears to be a courtroom drama, but it also serves as a brilliant social critique. P. C. Solanki, the film’s protagonist and Manoj Bajpayee’s portrayal of him, is portrayed in the movie defending in court against these contractors of religion while simultaneously acting as a parent instilling proper religious practices in his children. Manoj Bajpayee plays the victim girl’s parents in the scene where they laud the attorney before asking, “How much will the fee be?” The attorney’s remarks about the girl’s smile are touching.

REVIEW

A terrible reality was depicted in this movie. It lacks a political purpose and keeps loyal to the fact it shows in its story. The movie, however, effectively criticises the judicial system, social system, police system, and extremists without ever uttering a word or line that is disrespectful to any faith.

You’ll be nervous by this movie’s climactic court statement, in particular. Manoj’s final speech is the core of the entire film. The distinction between “sin, mortal sin, and great sin” is one we are aware of. We are briefly rendered completely numb when the Ramayana, Ravana, and Shankara mention this distinction and its relevance to this situation.

Banda is distinguished by its snappy and dazzling direction by Apoorva Singh Karki, the creator of TVF’s well-liked programmes, including “Aspirants.” The other co-stars have all done fantastic work, but Manoj Bajpayee’s acting has raised the stakes for this tale.

Rating: 3/5

Manoj does an excellent job of capturing the Jodhpur lawyers’ body language and spoken language, but his bold portrayal also demonstrates the restrained acting that this plot necessitates. The entire weight of the movie is now on Manoj’s shoulders. The music is mediocre but does the job. Banda is a movie that everyone should see because of its fantastic plot, skilful direction, and outstanding acting. As a result of these factors, the film earned a score of three out of five.

The film was made by Zed Studios and Bhanushali Studios, with Apoorv Singh Karki serving as the director. Manoj Bajpayee, Nikhil Pandey, Jai Hind Kumar, and Surya Mohan Kulshreshtha are starring in it. On May 23, 2023, the film was made available via Zee5
