Plot:
The film introduces Kabir (played by Ajay Devgn) and his contented family: his nerdy son Dhruv (Anngad Raaj), teenage daughter Jahnavi (Janki Bodiwala), and wife Jyoti (Jyotika). However, their tranquility is disrupted when a stranger named Vanraj Kashyap (portrayed by R Madhavan) enters their lives, instilling a sense of unease. Surprisingly, Vanraj gains complete influence over Jahnavi, compelling her to obey his every command.

In “Shaitaan,” a stranger infiltrates a farmhouse inhabited by a family, swiftly seizing control over the teenage daughter, who complies with his eerie and potentially deadly commands. Can this besieged family outmaneuver the stranger’s sinister game, and what dark secret lies hidden within him? Despite steering clear of jump scares, the film adeptly generates an unsettling atmosphere, a testament to filmmaker Vikas Bahl’s adeptness in the genre.
Madhavan shines as the villain, executing each nefarious act with chilling precision. Ajay Devgn delivers a compelling performance as the vulnerable yet determined father, while Jyotika exudes strength in her role. Janki Bodiwala impresses as the ensnared young girl, effortlessly transitioning between laughter, tears, dance, and aggression. Anngad Raaj also delivers a commendable portrayal as the son. Amit Trivedi’s haunting soundtrack, coupled with Sudhakar Reddy Yakkanti’s cinematography, masterfully sets the mood of terror and dread.
