Plot

The protagonist of the film is Ranvijay Singh Balbir, who will stop at nothing to keep his father, Balbir Singh, safe. Balbir Singh is too focused on building his business empire to be as affectionate towards his father as Ranvijay Singh is. Ranvijay moves in with Geethanjali following his romantic relationship. Suddenly, Balbir Singh is the target of an attack. How far Ranvijay Singh goes to protect his father is the central theme of Animal.

The movie is captivating in the first half. Even with a long-running length, the first hour hooks us in. Everything—character growth, action sequence staging, and high points—went rather smoothly. The film’s climax occurs during the interval sequence. The brilliant background score by Harshavardhan Rameshwar amplifies the impact of numerous scenes. Each song is excellent and masterfully shot. The filmography is well-executed. The pieces of the action set are tastefully chosen. A few scenes could have been cut, and the final hour’s editing could have been improved.

Review

It’s difficult to imagine another actor in Animal playing Ranbir’s part. Such is the famous actor’s sheer brilliance. The protagonist’s character development is incredibly strange. You will leave the theatres a fan of Ranbir even if you are not, especially after that incredible dialogue scene in the end. Rashmika Mandanna played a good supporting role, and she and Ranbir have great chemistry. Anil Kapoor, Siddharth Karnick, Tripthi Dimri, and Suresh Oberoi all did excellent work.

Sandeep Reddy is a writer-director, and he gave an unconventional action drama. It is a very good first half that is appealing to all audiences. However, not everyone is a fan of the second-half drama between Ranbir and Rashmika and the underlying causes of their disagreement. The film’s distinctiveness stems from Ranbir’s performance, not from the inventive storyline.

While Bobby Deol’s character received little consideration from Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Ranbir’s character received a lot of it. Because of the character’s lack of development, the pre-climax face-off is uninteresting. There are times when using the English language excessively can annoy people. Additionally, the film eventually becomes predictable.

Ratings: 2.5/5

Overall, Animal is a gripping action drama that will interest some viewers. There may be some controversy over the graphic content and excessive violence. Ranbir Kapoor, who gave a performance worthy of an award, is the essence of Animal. The movie has strong technical elements, but Bobby Deol’s characterization could have been more skillfully written. This movie has received a rating of 2.5 stars out of 5.

Although there is something for everyone to enjoy in the first half, the second half’s tonal changes may not be to everyone’s taste. You should watch Animal if you enjoy unusual and heroic films.
