The episode opens up with our four horsemen on a village tour – they are seen talking about the political commentary in the village, and further decide to go towards the east side of the village and also to meet Bambahadur. Back at the panchayat office, we are greeted by Mehman(played by Aasif Khan) and his wife Raveena, as they come back to visit Phulera.
Back at Vidhayak Ji’s place, he is seen hiring two goons and tasking them with breaking the legs of Bambahadur. Rinki, Raveena, Mehman, and Abhishek go on a stroll around the village and indulge in some banter. In another scene, the goons sent by Vidhayak reach Bambahadur however they fail to fulfill their task as he manages to run away.
A meeting of ward members is called, to decide what to do about the wrongdoings of Vidhayak in Bambahadur’s case. Abhishek proposes the idea of buying Vidhayak’s horse – and that it will be a great setback for the latter. Everyone likes this idea and Mehman is sent to buy that horse – for which Prahlad gives Rs. 5 Lakhs!
The plan is set in motion and Rinki, Raveena, Mehman, and Abhishek are seen driving towards Vidhayak’s home for finalizing the deal. The episode ends in the middle of this journey – with Abhishek and Rinki sitting in the backseat, together.
The episode has good pacing and continues to shine like all its predecessors. The idea of the people of Phulera buying Vidhayak’s horse is a great and unique way to depict wins and losses in a political landscape. Aasif Khan shines as Mehman and so do other actors in their respective roles.
The cinematography and the direction continue to depict the nuances of village life, and the incidents as they present themselves when Panchayat elections are around. Certain interesting subplots keep us hooked in addition to the main story – then be it Abhishek and Rinki’s romantic banter, Vikas’s wife’s pregnancy, Prahlad’s worry about his money, etc.
