Tom Cruise Captivates Audience With ‘Mission Impossible – Dead Reckoning’

With every new Mission Impossible film, Tom Cruise manages to captivate audiences with his unwavering commitment to thrill-seeking and death-defying feats. He returns to the venerable series as the international agent Ethan Hunt.

In spite of the fact that Cruise will turn 61 in July of this year, fans of his love for pushing the boundaries of cinema cannot get enough of Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning, Part One, which is set to arrive in theaters on July 12.He will perform a motorcycle jump off a cliff in Norway for Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning, Part One, followed by a base jump and parachute descent. It was said that after jumping off the cliff, he just had six seconds to live by opening the parachute.

However, Tom is no stranger to such jaw- dropping stunts as can be seen in previous films where he has been hanging off the side of a plane, holding his breath underwater for several minutes and manoeuvring a motorcycle through heavy traffic at breakneck speed.

In a recent interview, Cruise disclosed that endless rehearsal and drills were one of the keys to pulling off such risky exploits. In fact, he said, “Don’t be careful, be competent,” to emphasise his point. He explained how even his shoelaces need to be taped to prevent tangling while performing a daring stunt at high altitude.

By the time the scene was shot on location, Cruise already had an incredible record of more than 500 skydives and 13,000 motocross jumps when MI 7 was being filmed in Norway.
