‘Thank You For Coming’ Movie Cast Tours New Parliament Building, Expresses Support for Women’s Reservation Bill

The cast of the upcoming movie Thank You For Coming, which stars actors Bhumi Pednekar and Shehnaaz Gill, toured the new Parliament building. They were joined by Shibani Bedi and Dolly Singh, and on Wednesday they met union minister Anurag Thakur there.

Shehnaaz told ANI that the new Parliament is stunning and perfectly captures the beauty and culture of our nation during her tour of the facility. When discussing the Women’s Reservation Bill, she stated, “It is a great step. I am a woman. If we are given rights and equal treatment, even parents too will support girls. I come from a small village. The girls are married off so that they get settled. But after this, if girls and boys are treated as equals, a lot of things in the country will change.”

Shibani Bedi also expressed her opinions on the legislation that is currently up for discussion in the lower chamber. She claimed that they were with Anurag Thakur when they were touring the building. She continued, “It was wonderful to see the art and culture portion in the building. “This is a lovely moment, a significant historical moment. With the passing of this Bill, women from all walks of life will have the opportunity to participate in the drafting of laws. So, in my opinion, it’s a positive trend, she told the news organization.

While this was going on, Rajya Sabha MP and Shiv Sena Deputy Leader Priyanka Chaturvedi made fun of the Thank You For Coming cast’s promotional appearance at the new Parliament building on Wednesday. She questioned if it was appropriate to promote movies at the Parliament.
