He revealed that Kanguva took over two and a half years to develop, describing it as a passion project brought to life by the creative vision of director Siva. Suriya also extended his gratitude to composer Devi Sri Prasad and cinematographer Vetri Palanisamy for their contributions to the film’s journey.
Speaking about the film’s essence, Suriya explained that Kanguva is more than just a tale of warfare—it’s a story of standing up for one’s beliefs and fighting for the greater good. He urged his fans to embrace the same warrior spirit in their own lives, using their inner strength to chase their dreams. Reflecting on his recent appearance on Nandamuri Balakrishna’s talk show Unstoppable, Suriya mentioned how inspired he was by Balakrishna’s dedication and relentless work ethic.
Director Siva, addressing the media, said, “It feels wonderful to return to Hyderabad after so long. Creating Kanguva was a deeply passionate endeavor, especially with a committed actor like Suriya by my side. The story draws inspiration from tribal conflicts that took place nearly a thousand years ago, and we aimed to depict these events on a grand scale with rich production values. The unwavering support from producer Gnanavel allowed us to transform this ambitious idea into reality.”
Backed by producers KE Gnanavel Raja, Vamsi, and Pramod under the banners of Studio Green and UV Creations, Kanguva is a lavish production with an impressive budget. Renowned distribution company Mythri Movie Distributors will handle the release in the Nizam region, ensuring the film reaches a wide audience.
