“Suriya 44” Takes Off: Suriya, Pooja Hegde, and Sujith Shankar Shine in Historical Romance
New Tamil Film Directed by Karthik Subbaraj Begins Shooting in Andaman and Nicobar Islands
The highly anticipated Tamil film “Suriya 44,” directed by Karthik Subbaraj, stars Suriya, Jayaram, and Pooja Hegde. Production for this historical romantic drama began earlier this month, with filming currently underway in the scenic Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Malayalam actor Sujith Shankar has recently joined the cast and is already on set.
The main cast, including Suriya, Pooja Hegde, and Sujith Shankar, kicked off the first schedule of shooting in early June. They are expected to remain in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands until the second week of July to complete a significant portion of the film. Other notable cast members include Joju George, Karunakaran, and Jayam.
Santhosh Narayanan, known for his versatile compositions, is scoring the music for “Suriya 44.” He is also involved in the upcoming film “Kalki 2898 AD,” featuring stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, and Deepika Padukone.
The project has garnered considerable attention, especially since Karthik Subbaraj’s previous collaboration with Thalapathy Vijay underwent changes. Fans are eagerly awaiting more details about “Suriya 44.”
In addition to this film, Suriya is working on two other projects: “Vaadivaasal” with director Vetrimaaran and “Suriya 43” with Sudha Kongara. Both projects are in the pre-production stage and have yet to start filming.
