Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri Team Up for Vishal Bhardwaj’s 1990s Action Thriller ‘Arjun Ustara’

Bollywood is gearing up for a cinematic treat as Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri pair up for the first time in Vishal Bhardwaj’s highly anticipated action thriller, Arjun Ustara. Set against the gritty backdrop of the 1990s, the film will explore the world of gangsters and promises a gripping narrative packed with action and drama.

Joining the stellar cast are Nana Patekar and Randeep Hooda, both in pivotal roles that will undoubtedly elevate the film’s intensity. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, the movie is set to begin filming on January 6, 2025, with a grand theatrical release planned for December 5, 2025.

A day before the film’s official announcement, Shahid shared his excitement on Instagram, teasing fans with insights into his role. “Prep time… Sliding into the edgy, nasty gangster ’90s,” he wrote, hinting at a character that is both complex and intense.

Meanwhile, elaborate sets are being constructed in Mumbai to recreate the 1990s vibe, promising an authentic visual experience. While the film’s title is yet to be finalized—Arjun Ustara and Evil are under consideration—the buzz surrounding the project continues to grow.

Before Arjun Ustara, Shahid will grace the big screen in Deva, opposite Pooja Hegde. The film, set for release on January 31, 2025, showcases the actor in a dark and menacing avatar, raising expectations for his gangster role in Arjun Ustara.
