Satish Kaushik’s Last Film ‘Kaagaz 2’ Lands on Amazon Prime, Anupam Kher Urges Viewers to Tune In

An Emotional Invitation: Anupam Kher Encourages Audiences to Witness the Legacy of Satish Kaushik in the Thought-Provoking Drama

Two months following its theatrical release, “Kaagaz 2,” directed by Satish Kaushik and featuring Anupam Kher, has made its way to Prime Video. This marks Kaushik’s final cinematic endeavor before his passing on March 9, 2023. Anupam Kher, through an Instagram Reel, extended a heartfelt invitation to viewers, urging them to immerse themselves in the film’s narrative, now available for streaming on Prime Video.

Sharing a video on his Instagram handle, Kher implored, “Please watch Satish Kaushik’s last film Kaagaz 2 on @amazonprime. It is an issue-based film. I promise you will like it!” In the clip, he elaborated, “It’s on Prime Video and I’ll be very happy if you watch it. And, enjoy the film, it’s thought-provoking… It’s an important film of our time. Jai Ho.”

In “Kaagaz 2,” Kaushik’s character embarks on a crusade against political rallies, seeking justice for his deceased daughter. Anant Desai portrays a formidable politician responsible for his daughter’s demise during a political gathering.

Anupam Kher assumes the role of Kaushik’s advocate in the courtroom battles, navigating perilous situations. Produced by Satish Kaushik Entertainment LLP and Venus Worldwide Entertainment Pvt Ltd, with Shashi Satish Kaushik, Ratan Jain, and Ganesh Jain as producers, the film also features Darshan Kumaar and Neena Gupta.

Reflecting on the film’s significance, Kher stated in an interview with ANI, “It was his (Satish Kaushik) passion project. He was working for 2 years on this project. This is based on true incidents. He was so passionate about the subject. He met many people, the protests taken out by political parties and other organizations, however genuine the cause is for their coming on the streets but a section of people get affected by it.”
