Reunion With Val Klimer Had Tom Cruise In Tears

According to Tom Cruise, Maverick and Iceman experienced a touching reunion on the “Top Gun: Maverick” set. Cruise made a comeback in the sequel to the 1986 smash hit “Top Gun” for Paramount Pictures. He played US Naval aviator Pete “Maverick” Mitchell. Val Kilmer also returned to the movie as Tom “Iceman” Kazansky.

The actor claimed that when he watched Kilmer perform, he broke down into tears, “I just want to say that was pretty emotional, I’ve known Val for decades,”Cruise said during an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”.
“For him to come back and play that character… He’s such a powerful actor, that he instantly became that character again…you’re looking at Iceman…I was crying, I got emotional.He’s such a brilliant actor, and I love his work,” he added
