Ravi Dubey Confirms Role as Lakshman in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana
Actor Praises Ranbir Kapoor’s Grace and Dedication on Set While Sharing Insights About the Film

Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana has been one of the most highly anticipated films in recent years, and excitement continues to build with actor Ravi Dubey confirming his role as Lakshman. Speaking to Connect Cine, Ravi shared insights into the project, highlighting the sincerity and dedication behind its production.
When asked directly about playing Lakshman, Ravi revealed, “With due permission of my makers, yes, I am. There’s a certain sanctity to the project, and I feel Namit sir and Nitesh sir have a specific vision for how they want to present it. I didn’t want to appear evasive or frivolous, so I sought their guidance on how to address this question. Only after receiving their approval did I confirm it.”
Describing the film, Ravi emphasized its heartfelt approach, calling the narration “sincere” and “earnest.”

He also spoke fondly of working with Ranbir Kapoor, who plays Ram in the epic tale. “This is my first time collaborating with a megastar like Ranbir Kapoor. His kindness, empathy, and humility on set are remarkable. Despite his hard work, he never projects it. Every time he’s in front of the camera, you can see the effort and dedication he’s put in. He is, without doubt, the most commercially viable artist of this generation and the most graceful person I’ve met. I regard and love him like an elder brother.”
As fans eagerly await more updates on Ramayana, Ravi’s comments only add to the anticipation surrounding this ambitious cinematic retelling of the timeless epic.
