Rashmika Mandanna Channels Tanjiro & Tiger Shroff Dons Zenitsu Vibes at Demon Slayer’s Epic Mumbai Premiere

Crunchyroll India’s brand ambassadors bring anime cosplay flair to the exclusive fan screening of Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle, sparking a stylish cultural moment at the early-morning event.

Mumbai was buzzing with excitement on September 7 as fans gathered for the much-anticipated early screening of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle. But while the film was the main event, the spotlight was quickly stolen by Bollywood stars Rashmika Mandanna and Tiger Shroff, who appeared as Crunchyroll India’s official brand ambassadors.

The fan screening was packed with anime aesthetics—from life-sized character standees to massive Tanjiro inflatables—setting the perfect stage for the cultural crossover moment.

Rashmika wowed the crowd in a look directly inspired by Demon Slayer’s protagonist, Tanjiro Kamado. Her blue-and-black checkered crop jacket was a clear nod to the iconic character, paired with a brown mini skirt, pink crop top, and chunky black shoes tied with red and white bows. Tiger, on the other hand, chose a more laid-back style with a yellow shirt layered over a white tee and denim jeans—an outfit many fans felt resembled Zenitsu’s vibrant palette.

Both stars interacted warmly with the audience, even discussing their favorite scenes from the movie. Tiger highlighted Zenitsu’s composed duel with Kaigaku, while Rashmika spoke about the gripping Akaza vs. Giyu and Tanjiro battle.

Unsurprisingly, Rashmika’s cosplay-inspired outfit became a hot topic online. While some fans loved the creativity, others had cheeky takes, with comments like “Tanjiro ❌ Rashmiro ✅” and playful jabs about Tiger wearing a shirt for a change.

Beyond the starry appearances, the event also marked a milestone for anime in India. Infinity Castle is slated for a wide theatrical release across 750+ screens on September 12, making it the country’s biggest anime release to date. The film will be available in Japanese with subtitles, as well as dubbed in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. In a first for anime in India, the movie will even have 5 a.m. showtimes—proof of the massive anticipation among fans.

Rashmika’s bold cosplay and Tiger’s casual twist turned the premiere into more than just a movie event—it became a full-blown pop culture crossover, blending Bollywood glamour with anime fandom in true blockbuster style.
