The actor’s transformation teases his role as a R&AW agent in the upcoming espionage thriller, igniting fan excitement.

Bollywood star Ranveer Singh has set social media abuzz with his latest Instagram reel, revealing a striking new look for his upcoming film Dhurandhar. Sporting long hair and a full beard, Singh’s transformation hints at his role as a Research & Analysis Wing (R&AW) agent in the action-packed espionage thriller directed by Aditya Dhar.
In the reel, Singh responds to a video by DJ Armin van Buuren, who likens the sound of a Formula 1 engine to the word “Stiiiiing.” Expressing admiration for the DJ, Singh says, “Mr. Buuren, big fan… I’ve been following your musical journey from the early 2000s.” After listening to the engine sound, he remarks, “There is a sting in the sound of the engine. Wow… The experience of watching Formula One is now never going to be the same for me.”
Fans quickly took to the comments section to praise Singh’s new avatar, with many describing him as looking like a “sher” (lion). One fan commented, “LOOKING SO HANDSOME,” while another noted, “The Hair 🔥.”
Dhurandhar marks Aditya Dhar’s return to the espionage genre following his successful 2019 film Uri: The Surgical Strike. The film boasts an ensemble cast, including Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal. Khanna is set to portray a key antagonist, while Madhavan’s character is reportedly inspired by India’s National Security Advisor, Ajit Doval. The storyline draws inspiration from real-life covert operations led by Doval, promising a gripping narrative filled with action and intrigue
As filming progresses, Singh’s dramatic transformation and the film’s star-studded cast have heightened anticipation for Dhurandhar, positioning it as one of the most awaited releases in the coming months.
